Introduction
Marenauta uses Cookies and other tracking tools to operate and protect the site, remember preferences, enable requested functions, measure traffic and campaigns, display external content and carry out marketing or remarketing activities when the user gives the required consent.
Tracking tools include Cookies, scripts, pixels, tags, identifiers, web beacons and similar technologies. The term Cookie specifically refers to data saved in the browser. For general information on personal data processing, see the Privacy Policy.
Cookies may be set directly by Marenauta or by third parties integrated on the site. They may be session cookies, expiring when the browser is closed, or persistent, remaining stored until the configured expiry or deletion by the user.
Technical tools are necessary to provide the requested service or to transmit communications over the network and do not require consent. Non-technical tools, such as analytics not strictly necessary, external content, personalized advertising, remarketing and conversion measurement, are used only according to the applicable consent category.
Managing your preferences
On first access, a panel is displayed to accept, refuse or customize non-essential Cookies and trackers. The user can change their choices via the "Change your consent" link in the footer or via the privacy panel available on Marenauta.
By accepting all Cookies, the user enables all optional categories; by refusing, only necessary tools are retained; by customizing, functionality, experience, measurement and marketing can be chosen separately. Withdrawal or modification of consent takes effect for the future and does not render unlawful processing already carried out on the basis of valid consent.
Strictly necessary Cookies do not require consent and cannot be disabled from the panel. The browser may block or delete them, but some functions may not work. For third-party tools, provider opt-outs, browser/device settings and sector platforms may also be used.
The choice is saved in the technical Cookie mconsent for up to 365 days and contains policy version, random consent identifier, date, action taken and enabled categories. When the policy version changes or the choice is no longer available, the panel may be shown again.
Marenauta records consent choices server-side for proof and compliance management purposes. The log may include consent identifier, action, categories, policy version, language, page, IP address, user agent and, if the user is authenticated, internal customer reference.
Consent categories
- Necessary: security, network, consent, session, essential preferences and service operation.
- Functionality: optional functions requested by the user or useful for support, such as chat.
- Experience: external content, embedded reviews and interactions with third-party platforms.
- Measurement: analytics, heat maps, session recordings, aggregate statistics and diagnostics.
- Marketing: personalized advertising, remarketing, conversions and campaign measurement.
Necessary
These tools are used for activities strictly necessary for operation or provision of the service. They do not require consent.
This category includes Cookies and technical identifiers used to maintain the session, prevent abuse, protect traffic, remember language or essential preferences, store cart or request content during browsing, save privacy choices and balance or correctly distribute requests to the infrastructure.
Marenauta also includes tools essential for location search and map results display, core features of the service requested by the user.

Functionality
These tools enable additional interactions and functions chosen by the user. They can be disabled via the consent panel, with possible unavailability of the linked function.

Experience
These tools improve user experience quality, allow display of external content or interaction with third-party platforms.
- TrustBox Trustpilot (Trustpilot A/S): embedded reviews widget. Measurement
These tools measure traffic, sessions, performance, usability and technical issues. They are activated only according to user preferences, except for technical data strictly necessary for security or operation.
Marenauta uses Google Consent Mode setting measurement and advertising tools to denied by default. When the user consents to the Measurement category, the site updates consent for analytics tools; when not consented, consent-dependent scripts remain blocked or operate with limitations provided by the vendor.
Marenauta always loads the Google Tag Manager container (server-side tagging on load.sgtm.marenauta.com) to manage measurement and marketing tags and scripts. Before consent, Google Consent Mode keeps analytics and advertising denied; when the user accepts Measurement or Marketing (or has already chosen), the consent panel updates the signals and configured GTM tags respect those preferences. Scripts not managed by GTM remain blocked until activated by the CMP.
Statistics may be aggregated or pseudonymized and are used to understand which pages work, identify errors, improve usability and assess overall service effectiveness. Recordings or heat maps, where active, are configured for experience analysis and diagnostic purposes.

- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): statistics on users, sessions and interactions; IPs are used at collection and then deleted before registration in data centers. Marketing
These tools enable personalized advertising, remarketing, conversion measurement and measurement of interactions with marketing communications. Marketing Cookies, pixels and trackers are used only when the user has given the related consent. Email or SMS communications may be based on consent, contract, legitimate interest or other permitted legal basis, as indicated in the Privacy Policy.
When the Marketing category is allowed, Marenauta may use advertising identifiers to show more relevant ads, create or update remarketing audiences, exclude users from irrelevant campaigns, attribute conversions and measure ad or communication performance. Without consent, these tools are not activated via the Marenauta panel, without prejudice to independent data handling by platforms when the user uses their services directly.

Third parties
The third-party tools indicated in this Cookie Policy are provided by independent controllers or processors according to the applicable role. Such providers may read or set Cookies, receive technical information and process data according to their own notices, privacy settings, terms of service and retention periods.
Marenauta selects and configures tools based on available consent categories, but does not fully control technologies, Cookie names, durations, transfers, updates and further operations carried out directly by providers. For complete and up-to-date information, the notices of individual providers linked in previous sections must be consulted.
Post-booking review requests sent by email (Trustpilot AFS) do not depend on Marketing cookie consent and are described in the Privacy Policy (legitimate interest).
Duration of Cookies and trackers
Duration depends on the type of tool. Session Cookies normally expire when the browser is closed; persistent Cookies remain until the configured expiry, manual deletion or replacement by the provider. Some tools may renew duration on each visit or when the user interacts with the service.
Durations indicated for individual providers are indicative and may change due to technical updates, browser configurations, device limits, manual deletion, private mode, privacy settings or independent choices by third parties.
Opt-out and browser settings
In addition to the Marenauta consent panel and individual provider opt-outs, the user can manage many advertising preferences through sector platforms. These tools do not replace the Marenauta consent panel and may not cover all providers or devices used.
The user can use browser settings to view, block or delete Cookies and similar technologies. Completely blocking Cookies may prevent proper functioning of preferences, security, login, chat or integrated content.
Browser or device controls operate on the single browser, profile or device used and may not be synchronized with other user environments. Deleting Cookies may also remove the choice saved in the Marenauta panel, requiring a new selection.
Control of third-party trackers, transfers and duration
The use of third-party tracking tools is not fully controllable by Marenauta: durations, Cookie names, actual technologies, transfers and processing methods may change based on providers' technical choices. Indicated durations are indicative and based on available information or known configuration.
Some providers are based or process data outside the EU/EEA. In such cases, where necessary, the safeguards indicated in the Privacy Policy apply: adequacy decisions, Data Privacy Framework where applicable, Standard Contractual Clauses, supplementary measures or other bases permitted by the GDPR.
Consequences of refusal and updates
Refusing non-essential Cookies and trackers does not affect access to essential site functions. However, some functions such as chat, embedded reviews, personalized content, aggregate measurements or more relevant ads may be unavailable or less effective.
