Kos is the island that was the birthplace of Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine. Third largest island in the Dodecanese in terms of size, Kos is mostly flat. Like the other islands, preserved architectural remains of the different historical periods that saw protagonist: from the Hellenistic to the Middle Ages. The Asklepeion of Kos, the island's capital of the same name, was one of the most visited shrines of antiquity. Kos also no shortage of beautiful beaches and villages where you can still breathe air and relaxed outside the normal tourist routes. Towards the south-east are the beaches of Psalidi, Thermes, Aghios Fokas and Paradisi, while to the north there are the beaches of Paraskeva, Labi and Faros. The other beaches are Stefanos, Kamari, Polemi, Lagades, Kamila, Limnionas, Aghios Theologos, Paradise, Chrisi Akti, Kamari, Sun and beach Xirokampos.
