Ponza islands in 2012

The places are magnificent, wonderful especially a bit out of season after perhaps a bit too many people. The rental with Miceli Vela was a bit of a flop; the boat was dirty and not well maintained, the genoa furler broke immediately, so no sail. It was still a beautiful holiday for the beauty of the places and because there was very little wind so no regrets about the damage.

A long weekend on Elba.

We rented through Marenauta an Oceanis Clipper 361 sailboat in June 2012. We boarded from Salivoli on Friday evening with return on Monday evening and circumnavigated Elba counterclockwise. Good booking service (everything by email) and then information before departure. In the days before boarding we received weather information, contacts for the various ports on Elba and suggestions on the itinerary to follow (also thanks to the Timecharter staff in Salivoli). We had some problems with the boat (which however had its years) but the staff was always reachable by phone. Overall an excellent holiday and good service from Marenauta and Timecharter.

As anyone who has been on many sailing trips knows, there is always a certain likelihood of various kinds of problems (technical, administrative, weather, crew). Trips without problems are quite rare. This was one of those.

Dream holiday

The Marenauta team arranged a beautiful Bavaria 44 with which we enjoyed a dream holiday from Rovinj to Veli Rat and back in the finest sailing conditions without any problems. We will gladly come back to Marenauta!
