Opened in 2001, the Port of Rome to see the light after centuries of darkness and forgetfulness, who have seen the ancient splendor definitively extinguished with the fall of the Roman Empire. Today, the Port, while referring to the original structure, is presented as changing clothes designed for tourists and for anyone who is looking for fun and entertainment. Far from the ancient function of strategic military and commercial hub of the Empire, the port area is home to businesses of all types. There are 794 berths equipped with all amenities. The harbor area is also surrounded by a protected area managed by LIPU (Italian League for the Protection of Birds) thus contributing to the preservation and protection of the environment.
