Departure Zadar - We consider Zadar as the starting point of our journey for the Kornati Islands and Draga Otok, but you can easily rearrange your course and leave from Sukosan or Simuna on Pag Island.
Day 1° Bozava (Dugi Otok Island) - Let's go on throughout our journey: sail along the north coast of Ugjan Island, cross Veli Zdrelac, the passage between Rivanj and Ugljan, sail arounf the southern capes of Sestruni and Zverinac Islands: you'll reach the beautiful and quiet Bozava (16 miles). It is possible to moor along the coast before the breakwater.
Day 2° Luka (Dugi Otok Island) - Keep sailing south along Dugi Island and, to divide your navigation towards Telascica Bay into two parts, you can choose between several possibilities where you can spend the night: Brbinj, Savar, Zman, Zaglav e Sali, the green Mala Rava or Vela Rava, otherwise Veli Iz and Mali Iz. In this case, we chose Luka Bay on Dugi Otok Island. If you can't find a place along the short breakwater, you can find a safe mooring sight in the wide and protected bay whose floor is sandy.
Day 3° Telascica (Dugi Otok Island) - At the end of this day, you'll be in front of the Kornati Islands' national park. To get in you can choose between two ways. The first you find is Mala Proversa: this passage, which was widened 20 years ago, is now safer and broader than Vela Proversa, which is to the south of the first. When you've passed the passage, turn right and enter for about 3 miles along Telascica. According to the wind, you can find a safe mooring sight in one of the 15 inlets of the bay. You can walk to the salt lake and up to the cliff that faces the open sea and is part of the peninsula at the south end of the bay.
Day 4° Vrulja (Kornati) - Now plunge in the Kornati world. Keep to hand a nautical map and get inspired by the myriad of these little islands. We suggest you to spend the night in Vrulja, a little village where you can moor along the wharf.
Day 5° Piskera (Kornati) - After you have visited the whole Kornati Park, you'll reach Marina Piskera or Zadan wharf. There are many other possibilities: Kravljacica, Levrnaka, Lavsa. On the Kornati Islands, it is possible to find restaurants in the inhabited bays.
Day 6° Zut - Finally, leave behind the Kornati Islands to reach the marina on Zut Island. You can sail around the south part of Kornat Island, and pass through the southern entrance between Cape Opat and Vela Smokvica or come back through Proversa. In Zut Harbour's Bay, there are several little bays where you can moor your boat, otherwise you can opt for the marina. After you have spent the night in Zut, you just have to make your way back through Zdrelac passage between Ugljan and Pasman and sail to Zadar for the remaining 16 miles. There are many possible stops: in Veli Zdrelac passage, in Kukljica, in Preko or in Sutomiscica.
