General information about Croatia
Travel documents: It is necessary to possess a valid passport or some other identification document recognised by international agreement, proving the identity and the citizenship of the holder. For some countries the identity card is sufficient.

Health care: foreign tourists are exempted from paying health services if between Croatia and the country of origin of the tourists a social security convention has been signed, in that case foreign tourists shall be able to have health care in Croatia. A foreign citizen, whose country of origin has not signed a social security convention with Croatia, shall be charged for health services received.

Opening hours of shops and public offices: the majority of shops, in weekdays, is opened from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. (Saturdays and Sundays until 2.00 p.m.). In the summer season some shops are open longer. From Monday to Friday, public services and offices open from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
